Employee Recognition – Scott Vanhorn

The City of Prescott is proud to recognize Scott Vanhorn for his outstanding service and dedication as a licensed Wastewater Operator. Scott has faithfully served the City for eight years and has spent the last year in a promoted leadership role within the Wastewater Department.

Throughout his career, Scott has demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining and improving the City's wastewater system while ensuring residents receive dependable and efficient utility services. His knowledge, leadership, and work ethic have made him a valuable asset to the department.

When asked what he enjoys most about working for the City of Prescott, Scott said he appreciates the team effort involved in serving the community. He enjoys being a small part of a much larger system that works together every day to keep the city running smoothly.

Scott also shared some life advice that has guided him over the years: "Trust your gut—it will tell you what's right." He credits his wife for reminding him of this often, saying, "Always listen to the voice inside."

Scott's dedication to excellence, willingness to take on new responsibilities, and commitment to serving the citizens of Prescott have contributed greatly to the success of the department.
